You made what?

OK.. 1st let me start by saying none of this would be possable without our kind friends the Atkin's family... They own a 200+acre farm! So last week Mike says need any tomatoes? I said sure I will take a few... This is what I got... Along with 3 dozen ears of sweet corn, about 2 dozen zucchini, cukes, bag of peppers, a few egg plants and a watermelon! So needless to say.. I have froze about 5 pounds of fresh corn.. Shredded about 12 cups of zucchini (I have separated it for my zucchini bread) and pureed about 3 cups of it... What did you do with all those tomatoes you ask? SALSA! I have tried canning again! All those tomatoes only made 9 pints of salsa! Let me tell you it is YUMMY!!! Last night I was blessed with another 100 tomatoes so tomorrow we will make another batch! Keven and the kids are chopping at the bit to get into this but it has to sit for 24 hrs. I wonder how long this will last??? (Actually this is my 2nd batch this week, I gave the 1st batch to the Atkins' minus 1 jar which was gone in a matter of minutes!Look for a post around the 1st of Sept. we will be at their house for a end of summer BBQ and I plan on taking tons of pics.. There is so much history just sitting in their backyard! Not to mention 3 horses, 2 cows, a football field for a garden! And they are only 5 minutes from town! I could go on and on! I will save some for the Atkin's part Deux....

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Can you believe we have been here for 1 year already! Yikes where does the time go!

No really HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my hubby of 12 YEARS!!! Thats right 12 years! Where does the time go!!! I love you Keven!!

21 days to go! Not that I am counting or anything

Can you believe school is going to start in 21 days! I can't! It has been a great & trying at times summer... We have enjoyed the country club although none of us have played tennis or golf yet but there is always next year! We have also been busy this last week with football & cheerleading practice! Can you believe it's time for Lunenburg Lightening Football again! Austin and Ashley are together this year! Both on JV.. Of course she is cheering not playing football! Although she has voiced her opinion all summer on how she would rather play football! Ya NO! Austin is the captain and quarterback.. So this should make for an exciting season! Keven and I are coaching this season, and poor Andrew is along for the ride! Next year he can play football if he wants.. But Keven and I think he is just to little to play tackle.. Austin and Andrew will be playing the summer baseball as well... That is really laid back and just 1 practice and then 1 game a week for 4 weeks.. We really enjoyed that last year...

Sew Busy!

The Sew Sweet Boutique has been tutu busy! haha I am so funny this morning! I had a huge order for a family reunion. 23 can Koosies, and 23 beach towels and 1 sippy cup! I hope they enjoyed their gifts! Flip flops have been a great seller this season! Check back in September for the 25 new styles for FALL! Forget me knot baby wraps have been popular as well as the tutu's! Here are a few pics! Thank you Nancy for the great pics of Arden!

All-Stars 2008

For all of our baseball friends in MS we only dreamed of days like this! They only play 1 game a day!!! Each team plays 1 time a day! Let me say it again! 1 TIME a DAY!! Not 2 or 3 like we are used to playing! lol.. I was shocked! Austin did very well, no pitching for him, he played 2nd base and had a lot of action all week! They made it to the finals playing a undefeated team, they went 1-1 with them.. 2nd place isn't bad!! Here are a few pics from the week...

Yikes where do the days go!!!

Well this is going to be a catch up blog! Enjoy!
Love this sunset! OBX 2008
