Way to go Austin!!

I know long time no BLOG!! Ok so not only has Austin turned 12 since my last post.. But he has also made the LMS basketball team! He is the only 6th grader on the team! So as of right now they are 6-0! Last night they played Amelia Middle School, the score was 51-17. Being a 6th grader Austin doesn't get a whole lot of playing time.. We tell him he is paying his dues. Next year he will get more... Well last night he played more then he has this whole season! He had a block, a rebound and a 3 POINTER!!! Yes he made a 3 point shot!! He had the only 3 point of the night!! The crowd went wild!! It was so neat to see his face.. He turned to one of the starters DJ and asked did that really go in?! When he was running back up the court his smile could have lit the entire state! Congrats Austin!! Keep up the good work!

Geez, where do the days go!

Yes just call me SLACKER! I know, I know. I have heard it from most of you! Ok so yes the kids started school! Yippie! Austin is in 6th grade and loving every minute of it! He personally thinks you should get to go to Middle School 1st... Ashley is in 4th and loving it, and Andrew is in 2nd and I can't say that he is loving it.. He is my home body! He would rather stay at home with his mommy everyday! But since he can't, he goes! And is doing very well despite not wanting to get up every morning!

We had a great time at the Atkins' BBQ but it was way to dark for me to bring out the camera, and I didn't have an extra flash with me! BooHoo...

Sports! Aw Sports, What would our weekends be without them... Well for one QUIET! But Keven and I love to watch our kids play their sports... Keven and I are coaching JV Football and JV Cheerleading.... Austin is starting QB and loves it... He gets a lot of playing time as they have in on defence as well. (No I don't know all the positions he is playing.. OPPS) Ashley is loving cheerleading again! She is normally a base for the stunt.. But the last couple games she has been able to be a flyer! She was so excited... I will post some pictures soon.. Thanks to Uncle Sean for taking the pictures since mom and dad are both on the field! And Andrew poor Drew! He is just to little and young... We didn't let Austin play tackle until he was 8... So for now it is just play time for him! Which he doesn't mind one bit!

Last weekend we had our annual Autumn Days in Victoria... Craft show, games, food etc... Here are a couple pics of the kids enjoying the fun times... Ashley might have found a new "calling" Bull riding! Her Nana and Beepop would love that!!! She didn't get thrown off once! On the rock wall Austin is #12 and that is his best bud Brandon with him, and his sister Riley is with Ashley.

Rock Climbing!

Andrew Bull Riding!

And hes off!

Austin wasn't allowed to ride the bull.. He broke his wrist with 2 games left last year and we aren't taking any chances this year!

As for me.. I have added 4 different bread to my website that are available for order.. (as of later today) I have been baking these for a few people around here and our family.. So I thought it would be a nice addition to The Sew Sweet Boutique!

You made what?

OK.. 1st let me start by saying none of this would be possable without our kind friends the Atkin's family... They own a 200+acre farm! So last week Mike says need any tomatoes? I said sure I will take a few... This is what I got... Along with 3 dozen ears of sweet corn, about 2 dozen zucchini, cukes, bag of peppers, a few egg plants and a watermelon! So needless to say.. I have froze about 5 pounds of fresh corn.. Shredded about 12 cups of zucchini (I have separated it for my zucchini bread) and pureed about 3 cups of it... What did you do with all those tomatoes you ask? SALSA! I have tried canning again! All those tomatoes only made 9 pints of salsa! Let me tell you it is YUMMY!!! Last night I was blessed with another 100 tomatoes so tomorrow we will make another batch! Keven and the kids are chopping at the bit to get into this but it has to sit for 24 hrs. I wonder how long this will last??? (Actually this is my 2nd batch this week, I gave the 1st batch to the Atkins' minus 1 jar which was gone in a matter of minutes!Look for a post around the 1st of Sept. we will be at their house for a end of summer BBQ and I plan on taking tons of pics.. There is so much history just sitting in their backyard! Not to mention 3 horses, 2 cows, a football field for a garden! And they are only 5 minutes from town! I could go on and on! I will save some for the Atkin's part Deux....
